Steam-Up Events: Once a month we steam the machinery up which is a splendid sight but costs us a lot in fuel. Tickets cost: Adults £6, Concessions £5, Children £4 (Family ticket £15)
Gift Aid: Can you help us? If you are a UK tax payer and don’t mind giving us your name and address plus a 10% donation we can claim gift aid back on the whole of your ticket. It helps us to keep our ticket prices low.
We welcome well-behaved dogs on leads with clean tidy owners! Only the café itself is dog free but you can take your scrumptious café food to one of the areas nearby.
Facilities for people with disabilities
The museum is an old industrial building and the floors can be uneven. Much of the ground floor is accessible for wheelchairs. The buildings are large and rambling so you might want to break down a visit into chunks and stop for a break in the café in between. We do have WC facilities for people with disabilities.
There are full details in our accessibility statement.
There are two local train stations: Swanwick and Bursledon, trains operated by Southern and South West
First Bus number X4 and X5 run past the bottom of Swanwick Lane. Alight at "The Navigator" pub going east or Swanwick Marina going west. More details about buses can be found on the First Bus website.
